AC Foods/Legacy Packing, located in Cobram, is delighted to launch its “Fresh Fruit Friday” initiative, aimed at healthy eating, and reducing food waste. 

AC Foods/Legacy Packing would like to donate one box per week of seasonal fresh fruit to your school. There is no cost to the school, no hidden fees, and no tricks. 

AC Foods Compliance & Personnel Manager Claire Wraight said the initiative was in line with the company’s sustainability objectives. 

“In today’s society we often see school children go without food. But we also see the huge amounts of food being thrown away because of blemishes or odd shapes. The fruit inside is perfectly fine. 

“We want to educate school children about the benefits of eating fresh fruit and reducing food waste. We also want to ensure the local children are eating healthy locally grown fruit, no matter what it looks like, because it’s still delicious!” Mrs Wraight said.
